  1. In my case, buying it on steam came out to be cheaper than buying it directly from Microsoft (by ~10-20%). And I prefer digital downloads because I don't like lugging discs around that could be broken, corrupted, or lost, but that's just my preference *shrug*
  2. Eh...the learning curve is just a standard learning curve from using any program. Just like playing any game. I mean any first person shooter has WASD controls to move, but all other key bindings will vary from game to game. Flight Simulators aren't very different in that regard.
  3. My joystick has a hatswitch too, and what sucked is that it wasn't bound, so I had to bind all the individual commands. Go to Settings and under controls->joystick, you should be able to look at all the available commands. Then you have to assign each hatswitch position (up, up left, up right, left, right, etc.) to each individual Camera Look Up Incrementally/Up Left/ Up Right / Left / Right / etc. (or something to that effect). I don't have the sim open in front of me right now so I forget what the exact name of the commands are.
  4. I'm fairly sure I saw this or something very similar in their "known issues" list. It might also be in the upcoming hotfix, but I'm not certain.
  5. The posts complaining about the sim being unflyable is a bit hard to believe. Once you understand the nuances of the sim and the default aircraft, it's fairly straightforward. Once you understand its limitations, it's an incredibly simple sim to fly in. After a few flights in the default A320neo, its behavior is fairly predictable. If you guys had played FSX from launch, you would know how to handle basic default aircraft with limited functionality. For constantly wanting study-level aircraft, you guys don't seem to want to put effort into studying new simulators to understand their nuances...
  6. Regarding sensitivity: real-world GA planes require very little control input when trimmed right. In fact, the majority of cruise flight is finger-input on the yoke. Wrist input is for rotating on a take-off roll, and elbow input is a big no-no Bearing this in mind, the difference in control travel of a joystick vs an actual yoke in a plane is an order of magnitude. Be wary of that when you say the controls are too sensitive, matter of fact is your slight finger input on a joystick is proportionally represented as a wrist input in the plane. I recommend turning your sensitivity in-game down to 50%, it makes the controls more manageable, and full deflection is still full deflection.
