  1. Glad you got it fixed by modifying the panel.cfg and using a different GPS. Enjoy! All the best, Bill
  2. Seem to remember this problem in FS2004 a decade or more ago, and it went away after I deleted the FS9.cfg file and rebuilt it (i.e. started the sim and allowed it to generate a new FS9.cfg, after which I spent a half hour resetting all my custom values). No idea if this will help with your situation. One more thing, with older addons, make sure that your panel.cfg calls up the FS9 GPS and not the FS2002 one. You can check one of the default planes to identify the name of the correct GPS file. As for inability to resize the GPS panel, no idea. All the best, Bill
  3. Oh, good to see this much-needed livery of what appears to be a fine model.
  4. Thanks, Christian! Looks great. As for repaints...
  5. Man, have we ever needed this for classic AI! Thanks a million. Looks like a beauty.
  6. Great day for a lot of happy users who have been waiting for this since seeing the preview pictures. Gregory Putz sceneries are consistently among the best of the best!
  7. Hello, Matrix Unfortunately, what you report shows that the model does not include the wings, so there's nothing anybody can do about it. Back in the day when Eric Cantu made those great models, people had less powerful computers and many modelers left out the wing views in an effort to minimize the impact on frame rates. Seem to remember that there was discussion of this on the Historic Jetliners Group forum, with the same conclusion. By the way, that site has a fine assortment of 737-300 (as well as -400 and -500) repaints, panels, and sounds.
  8. Good to hear that you solved the problem, Leuen. Tom always has good advice and fast. I believe that TTools has a function that compiles an airport list based on all the Afcads that are active in FS9, so if someone installs new scenery, the airports connected with those new Afcads will show up in the TTools airport list. All the best, Bill
  9. Hello Leuen, There's a program in the avsim library called genair11.zip. Description: GenAir is a Windows program written to generate an airports.txt file used for AI Flightplans from an existing FlightPlans.txt file. It can be used to quickly produce a matching airports.txt file for your own flightplans, or with someone else's flightplans if they did not include a valid airports.txt file. Now you can be sure that your airports.txt file includes all the correct airport codes, and only the airport codes that are actually used in the flightplan file. Using an airports.txt file that only includes the airports used within a flightplan can dramatically reduce the traffic bgl file size for FS2004. I have often used it in ttools. All the best, Bill
  10. Great update. New textures are a big improvement and the nighttime appearance now resembles that of an airport. Thanks!
  11. Hello Mowgli, This is a conflict with the great Hellenic Scenery Project. Panos Georgotas of HSP has uploaded a fix: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?searchid=71272495 File name: marmara_fix.zip. Hope this is useful. All the best, Bill
  12. Hello Neil, For flight plans you can check out the "FS2004 AI flight plans" sections. There are also sites called Alpha India Group forums (free registration may be required) and UTT. Up-to-date plans for everything from major legacy carriers to bush operators are constantly being made, especially on Alpha India. In addition to the models you named above, there is a new site called FAIB which has very nice models that replace the ones from before 2010. Among other things, these new models have more details and features like nosewheel steering when making turns during taxi. As for repaints, there's a wealth of them on flightsim.com and Avsim. I usually search for the up-to-date aircraft and repaints by airline name, making sure that they're for FS2004, because there's a tendency for some repainters to use the FSX texture format. which is incompatible with our sim. All the best, Bill
  13. Hello Marc, There's an online fuel planner that calculates fuel (and passenger) loads for a given flight by aircraft type and the distance between departure and destination points. http://fuelplanner.com/index.php Under the "Planner" button it gives "fuel on board" including reserves. The "Loadsheet" button gives values for both fuel and payload, and apparently looks like an airline planning sheet. The values can be entered into the "Fuel and payload" section in FS2004. This added flight-planning step takes about a minute. It provides some degree of detail while saving the user from the chore of trying to figure it all out. Perhaps leads to more accurate performance, also adds nerdish possibility of comparing projected and actual fuel use at end of flight. All the best, Bill
  14. For a 38 MB download of a major airport, it would be nice if the author gave us even a single screenshot to get an impression of his work (the program I use for flight simming is FS2004, not Afcad2.21)
