  1. Just last night I cloned my 500 GB Samsung EVO SSD to a new 1 TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD using the Samsung Migration software. Couldn't have been any easier. Literally pressing one button. Everything cloned over, including the OS and MSFS started up no problem. Worked perfectly.
  2. Ok thanks to all for your assistance. Much appreciated.
  3. My 500 gb SSD is running out of space. MSFS, FSX and my Windows 10 OS are on it, along with everything else on my computer. Does anyone have any recommendations on a reliable cloning software that will handle cloning my 500 gb SSD over to a terrabyte size SSD? Thanks.
  4. Uninstalling MSFS literally takes 2 seconds. It's only an app. Then you just go into the Microsoft Store and reinstall it.
  5. Glad you got it worked out. Folks on this forum have helped me out with issues and I try to reciprocate whenever possible. Enjoy!
  6. Go to --> General Options - Accessibility - Cockpit Interaction System and set it to Legacy.
  7. I have version 1.21.13.0 now but have not been able to get today's update. When I start the game it doesn't prompt for any updates and I logged out of my X Box acct. and logged back in, rebooted, etc. and it still won't prompt me for an update. In the game if I go into my acct. and log out and then try to log back in it says it can't log me back in and to try again later. In the past if I did that in the game I was able to log back in with no problem. This has been going on all day. Any ideas?
  8. Yes it's at 100. The Image Scaling works with FSX but not with MSFS for some reason, and I'm setting it up the same way. Odd.
  9. I’m trying to get this to work but not sure what I’m doing wrong. I turned it on in the NCP and when I start the sim the NIS appears in the upper left corner in blue indicating sharpening (but not scaling) as it’s supposed to. However when I set the in game resolution to something lower than my native 1920x1080 the NIS is supposed to turn green indicating that it is upscaling back up to 1080p but instead the NIS is just disappearing completely from the screen instead of turning green. I have an RTX 2060. What am I doing wrong?
  10. I am also having the same issue along with many others.
  11. Same thing here. Mine always says offline and the server name area is grayed out and has been for some time now. I was wondering the same things as you.
  12. Completely agree on all points. My 2060 works just fine everywhere on High settings. People just don't realize for this sim high frame rates just don't really matter.
  13. If I wanted to delete the entire Japan update that I downloaded, as I have no real interest in it, how would I go about safely doing that?
  14. That is a big pet peeve of mine. If I ask a question and I know someone takes the time out of their lives to answer it I have always thanked them for their attempt at helping me. Don't understand why some others don't do that.
  15. With nothing set up in the NCP I just can't get the in game frame rate counter to stay at 30 with Vsync off. I can however set up a frame rate max of 30 in the NCP and get it to stay at 30 in game that way and that will be fine. Just puzzled as to how you are able to do it.
  16. Not sure why using the Developer Mode just to check frame rates would make any difference. If I use Fraps instead I get the same results. But even if I use the Xbox Game Bar overlay to check the frame rates the results are still all the same. Again, I wonder if anybody else can duplicate what you are experiencing with the frame rate counter.
  17. Don't know how you are able to accomplish that. I have the Developer Mode frame rate counter on in the upper right and when I turn on Vsync and set the limiter to 30 fps and hit the Save button the counter goes down to 30 fps but as soon as I turn off the Vsync and hit Save the counter goes right back up again to unlimited. I wonder if anybody else has been able to get that to work as you describe.
  18. Not sure how you are able to do that. When I set it at 30 fps with Vsync on the frame rate stays at 30 but as soon as I turn off Vsync the frame rate goes right back up again.
  19. Update - Fixed. After all else failed I ended up reinstalling Windows which gave me a fresh set of everything. Sim app is reinstalling now and will just take a little time. I'll also need to reinstall FSX and configure my computer but no biggie other than being a minor annoyance. Thanks for all your suggestions.
  20. I uninstalled the app (the sim) by right clicking on the Microsoft Flight Simulator icon in the start menu hit clicking the Uninstall button which then uninstalls the game. Right now I have no MSFS folders on my HD anywhere as the app is uninstalled. I tried restoring to an earlier point and that didn't work. So I tried starting from scratch and installing the sim from the beginning. When I do that the initial installer for the game (1.32 gb) tries to install (which would install the game and then take me into the game to install all of the updates, etc.) but when it gets to the end of the 1.32 gb I get an error message with code 0x80073D05 which upon Googling it has to do with issues downloading games from the MS Store and I can't seem to find a workable fix. I can download other games from the Store but just not this flight sim. All was working just fine until yesterday when all of a sudden my desktop icon for MSFS stopped launching the game. As an experiment I tried installing the game app on my laptop and it installed no problem so then I uninstalled it. Apparently it has something to do with my gaming desktop but I don't know what. As I said before I can install other apps from the Store but just not the MSFS game app. I'm very frustrated and don't know what to try next.
  21. Fine on all 3. All of a sudden the desktop shortcut just stopped working for no reason and now I can't even d/l the game from scratch. All had been working fine since the beginning. I don't understand it.
