  1. I use a variation of Firefox, called Commodo Ice Dragon. You can't get any more older (antiquated?) than that. HA! I have Win 7 but will move to Chrome when I go Win 10. I have Avast Anit Virus so that is what 'saves' me from 'evil' and 'hacks'? Probably.
  2. Smells like a Win 10 'permission' problem. If you installed FS9 to 'C:/Program Files/FS9' then that might be it. Win 10 will not permit changes to files in that folder. Install to 'C:/FS9' instead and then try again. That simple? Sometimes. Chuck B Napamule
  3. Yes. Any airplane. Here you go: FSX Keyboard Controls – Autopilot Master (on/off) – Z Flight Director (on/off) – CTRL + F Wing Leveler (on/off) – CTRL + V Yaw Damper (on/off) – CTRL + D Altitude Hold (on/off) – CTRL + Z Altitude Bug (select) – CTRL + SHIFT + Z Heading Hold (on/off) – CTRL + H Heading Bug (select) – CTRL + SHIFT + H Airspeed Hold (on/off) – CTRL + R Mach Hold (on/off) – CTRL + M Autothrottle (arm) – SHIFT + R AT engage (TOGA) – CTRL + SHIFT + G Nav 1 Hold (on/off) – CTRL + N Approach Mode (on/off) – CTRL + A Back Course (on/off) – CTRL + B Localizer Hold (on/off) – CTRL + O Attitude Hold (on/off) – CTRL + T Increase Selection – = Inc Selection Slightly – SHIFT + = Dec Selection Slightly – SHIFT + – Decrease Selection – – Copy/Paste to Notepad/Print and keep handy. You will soon learn them. Happy Flying. Chuck B Napamule PS:Edit: I use AP to set pitch trim for me when leveled out to cruise alt. Press 'Z', then 'Ctrl+Z' (Present Alt Hold) and watch pitch trim 'auto set'. When level I push 'Ctrl+Z' and then 'Z' (AP Off).
  4. If you RIGHT click ON THE PICTURE, you can choose to 'Copy Image, then you can 'Paste' it into graphics program. Then you can Save or Print it.
  5. ''I created this post JUST for airport reviews. Thank you.'' That statement is intended for ADAM WINGS, as he is essentially 'highjacking' this thread. You should start your own thread with your own videos Adam Wings. You are 'new' so didn't know, I guess. But now you know. Have a nice day. Chuck B Napamule
  6. For keypad view changes make sure NUM LOCK is not lit up ('On'). That MAY be what 'gives'?
  7. It's been said a million times that the default flight should be the C-172 for best results. But some people don't believe it. Or rather don't realize WHY so they do what they want .... and then complain that the stupid FSX is malfunctioning when 'xyz'. What can you do?! Chuck B Napmule
  8. pomak249, 'i5 4690 (350mhz)' Really!!????? (UnderClocked? hehe).
  9. You willl (eventually) find that 5.1 OC is not going to be stable and upon lowering it to, say, 4.5 or 4.2 that it will then be stable yet give you the performance you need. When you get PC stable let your 'PC Guy' know what you did. He will no doubt say 'Oh, ok' (and smile because he suspected the 5.1 OC was NEVER going to be stable but wanted you to THINK he was a 'great' tech - which is not always the case!). Chuck B Napamule
  10. You should post in FSX forum. This forum if for AUTO SPORTS (race car) support and not for FSX or Windows 10. This forum has not being maintained, or updated, by the original owner (O.K. Daley) for years now. I look once in awhile and inform people they posted in wrong forum. Have a nice day. Chuck B Napamule
  11. I too gave up on sim. I had been painting with acrylics (water based) for years and then added making slime and adding color to it and when thin enough could put slime on thin board and got into crazy experimenting with that. I got so involved when I got into making 'abstract' paintings that I let sim go. Lots of variety. Lots of ideas left in my head. And not expensive either. No need for a 'pause' button either (ha). You can stop and take your pet for a walk while the paint dries. Then come back next hr/day/week and it will be there waiting for you when you got time again. Chuck B Napamule
  12. Here is link to 'Angle of Attack' videos page: https://www.youtube.com/c/angleofattack/videos. His 4 part videos to cover trip started Nov 2021. His most popular (1.7 m views) is 'Annalyn First Solo' (his student) a year ago. His videos are well made. I love watching all sorts of videos on YouTube. Thanks Roger for the heads up. Now sit back for a couple of hours and watch some real flying. Chuck B Napamule

  16. Mr Zippy already did the leg work. In his post (above) you will find a 'Download' link. Click on that link to download file. Too easy? Chuck B Napamule
  17. Sorry but I think we all are too late to stop, more less reverse, global polution and it's consquences. By 2050 half of the population on earth, and half of the species (of all kinds) will be GONE. TOO BAD - TOO LATE! You will get warnings: 'you have 10 yrs to...' at 2030, 2040,and 2050 but can do nothing. NADA! Chuck B Napamule
  18. That '100-240 volts' is steped down to 12 Volts! USB is 5 Volts. Force Feedback is not 'recognized' by FSX or FS2020. So you will have a joystick that doesn't work, no matter how much voltage you use, because the data can not be 'used' by Windows, and thus, simulator. A NON FF Sidewinder works automatically in FSX but can be set up to work in FS2020. The set up is part of the simulator AND windows (ie: joy CONTROLLER (software)) plus FS2020 setup (axis, options, etc). But a FF joy - forget it - it can't be done! Chuck B Napamule
  19. Look at the bright side: at least you know where he is and is not somewhere else getting in trouble. Cross The Pond is sponsored by VatSim. There will be 2000+ simmers, 200+ controllers, etc. It's a big deal! Has been for 20 years. You sit and wait for: info, booking, call sign registration, flight plan, etc. It WILL be congested so 2 hrs wait will surely happen - too many people!!! Ok...to me it's NOT a 'Big Deal' as I didn't ever intend to join. Too much monkey business for me. BUT, a 'pro' simmer with intentions to become a commercial pilot WOULD do everything possible to attend. Lots to learn (especially if using MS2020). It's a good thing. Once a year. Life is short so one must take advantage of opportunities available today. They might not be there tomorrow. Let the kid fly! Chuck B Napamule
  20. All this just resulted in me badly needing a long nap. Wake me when it's over.
  21. You have to put the 'new' airplane file (folder) directly into 'Airplane' folder. It will then be seen. If you put a FOLDER in 'Airplane' folder it will not be 'seen' by FSX (unless you edit the FSX.cfg file so FSX knows where to look for the airplane). It's 'ok' to drop your airplane in 'Airplane' folder. You can, if you want, move it at any time to another location if you don't want FSX to load it. You'll catch on. We all had to learn this so don't feel like the Lone Ranger. Chuck B Napamule
  22. This site is for advice for 'Auto Sports Simulation' ONLY and not for hardware, etc. 'ASS' is for vehicles, specifically Race Cars, for FS9/FSX simulation. Nels set up this forum for OK Daley, his race tracks (scenery) and race cars. So it's not for anything else (ie:sim equiptment/hardware). Sorry. Chuck B Napamule
  23. Handbrake program can also be used to reduce file size. I made a 40 min video (*.mov) and ran it thru Handbrake and the finished size (*.mp4) was 330 mb. I Love Handbrake. Chuck B Napamule
  24. If I was you I would go to YouTube. Lots of videos on 3d stick. Reviews. Setup in FS2020, etc. Enter 'Logitech Extreme 3D' in 'Search' box. Or enter it in Google. Get refreshment, popcorn, ice cream, or light a cigar and get comfortable as there will be HOURS of videos. Good luck. Chuck B Napamule Edit:PS. Don't forget to TAKE NOTES. MSFS is complicated when it comes to controllers.
  25. If he has FSX Deluxe (2 DVD set: FSX and Acceleration) then he does NOT need Sp1 or Sp2 as they are part of Acceleration and already included (installed). Trying to install Sp1 and Sp2 over Acceleration screws things up. So... if you don't have Acceleration DVD then you DO need to install SP1 and Sp2. Installl FSX, restart PC, activate FSX, fly FSX for a minute, shut FSX down. Fire up FSX to see if it works. THEN and only then install Acceleration. Restart PC. Fire up FSX, fly for a minute, shut down FSX. Take a day off (hehe) and tomorrow when you go fly FSX there should be no 'kinks'. Chuck B Napamule
