  1. Heh.. been around since 1984.. got a 6 digit Vatsim number. Got a full cockpit setup. Was having some CTD problems but those went away after I unplugged my second saitek throttle (patch came out same day) so who knows what did it.. but things are fine now. This is no different than the FSX days anyone that says "They have been around" knows this. Or they are full of it. Id argue things are better with this sim. Sure I am not flying my PMDG 737 and 747 yet.. but I will be someday.. For now it is MSFS and FSEconomy flying the heck out of the Caravan 208 until more stuff comes out. These guys get a HUGE pass from me for bringing flight sim from the grave.. because it was DEAD. No I played Xplane 10 and 11 but it wasnt as good. Never matched the time/experience I put in on FSX. Why do people post things like this? To inspire others to get a refund. I think I am going to upgrade and pay the full 100 to go from standard to the high level one.
  2. I made Truck simulator boxes. They were easy to build except for the wiring. Wow was that a lot of wiring and soldering. I thought about having a wire harness made but never wound up doing that. I never went full commercial just made a box for about 20 dollars in parts that was about the same as the 250 dollar variant. Here is the rotary encoders I used. I LOVE these. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MW7D4FD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 less than a dollar each. was awesome. They have held up 2 years NO problems. for pushbuttons these were good https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BD1MS18/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 this is the arduino I based it off of https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MTU9GOB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This was the push pull I used for parking brakes https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GGR7HYS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This was worth the expense too. I dont know if you can use it for flight simming but I know youare thinking how did you get a toggle to report properly? That was some coding I can show you. (I have NO desire to do this commercially but I can give you some assistance to save time. I wish someone had for me. It was sort of a pain in the posterior) I also used these for lights and such. Probably not good for flight sim but worked for my application. Those brand names made those switches really well. I returned a bunch to get to those. If they felt sloppy or any failed out of the box the WHOLE batch went back. All of those were finalists in the switch game.
  3. Do you have a volt meter? (It really makes these things easier) If not you should and check continuity. Thing is you arent going to hurt anything just attaching the wires and checking the output based on what that looks like Id say the left side and the right side would be the two terminals and it would not be related to the switch action at all. If feel confident enough to solder the left and right sides as the switch. That is how the ones I have worked without LEDS. You cant hurt anything worst case it is a short and the button is pressed constantly. That is a really interesting project. I have made arduino button boxes for Truck simulatior and will be modifying them for fight simulator now. Id be interested in the code for how you got those displays to work! Very interesting!
