  1. The easy answer to your question is yes. If you continue to add/insert files into the Community Folder load times will increase. This perpetuates with each file you add. I recommend a MASTER COPY of the Community Folder somewhere else on the computer from which you can pull only the files relevant to your current flight, such as airports, planes, etc. This will minimize loading times due to Community Folder content congestion. As Asobo updates Microsoft Flight Simulator, the downloaded files in the Community Folder MAY have to be updated, as well, to continue to work and not stall loading into the sim.
  2. I keep reading on this forum that people aren't flying the FBW A320 and ask questions about the original / default. I know, there are issues with FBW in development, but at least FBW are updating. Whereas, so it seems, Asobo is not. I highly recommend people to at least try the FBW update stable version.
  3. I keep reading that so many people on this forum are not using the A320NX (FlyByWire Airbus A320) and often ask why "this" doesn't work. You may have your reasons for this, and that is perfectly fine. But, Asobo is not updating the A320 as FBW is on their version of it. If you don't know about FBW for the Airbus A320, I highly recommend it. https://api.flybywiresim.com/installer
  4. I realize that the OP says they moved on. Just a suggestion for the A320, try the FBW (FlyByWire) mod for the default A320 @ https://github.com/Externoak/A32NX-installer/releases/latest/download/A32NX_Downloader.zip, and use the "Development" version. This mod can be seen in action at the official MFS20 Discord channel. This is not meant as an advertisement. I am truly trying to help you, in regards to the A320.
  5. These are known bugs. If you haven't already done so, download the FBW (FlyByWire) mod for the A320 @ https://github.com/Externoak/A32NX-installer/releases/latest/download/A32NX_Downloader.zip, and choose Developer" version. The "Stable" version doesn't work yet, since the last updates by MFS20. You can see the mod in action at the MFS20 Discord channel.
  6. In case you didn't know, and are interested, there is a team called FBW (FlyByWire) who are producing a mod for the A320 @ https://github.com/Externoak/A32NX-installer/releases/latest/download/A32NX_Downloader.zip and choose the "development" version. You can see this mod in action before you use it on the MSFS20 Discord channel. If you already know about this, then you know they are adding this kind of stuff to the default plane with the mod.
  7. This doesn't work for me, update 1.10.11 msfs version. Thanks for trying.
  8. How did a post wanting / requesting more avatar options become one of racism, ageism, sexism, or any other "ism"?
  9. First, you are correct. MFS should have this information easily available. They don't. Second, in the mean time, you will have to settle on third party apps to provide this information. Third, only a suggestion, try Navigraph. It is a pay-to-play. I have used them for years.
  10. I have looked. I can't find anything remotely related to this in the files; XML, CFG, etc. I hope it isn't hard coded and cannot be edited. I also hope someone finds this.
  11. Thanks. Of course, before posting this, I edited the MFSF cfg with the above. I saw NO differences at all. Hence the question.
  12. I was referencing the scenery night lighting, not the aircraft lighting. I could add a CFG edit, as above, to cause the default sunset / sunrise night lighting to come on earlier before sunset, and stay on later after sunrise. I don't know if that can be done with MSFS 2020.
  13. Is there a way to turn night lighting effects of the scenery (not the aircraft) on earlier than the default sunrise / sunset? P3D allowed for a GRAPHICS edit to the CFG by adding a few lines which allowed for tweaking how soon the lights turned on before dusk, and how soon the lights turned off after sunrise: DAY_THRESHOLD=55000 NIGHT_THRESHOLD=4096 I don’t see how this would work for MSFS 2020. But, any info / input would be appreciated. Thanks.
  14. Vatsim is an outstanding announcement! I want to see how far this new sim is going to go, and can't wait to see what is next!
  15. It all matters; the more "computer" fluff you have, the better performance you will get. Obviously until the sim comes out, no one will truly know what kind of performance an individual computer kit will output. However, most people here have the experience to know that if this is revolutionary in simming tech, we will need the best computer we can afford to get peek entertainment out of it.
  16. An important fact here, regardless the release date and content, the product is going to be continually updated. So, it gets better with time, regardless how good it is at release.
  17. For me, it is an easy answer: MSFS '20 There are several reasons why; it's all in what I want out of the sim -- WHERE I want to fly, WHAT I want to fly, what I want to SEE when I fly. I like what I see and hear with MSFS '20. Other platforms are installed on my computer, for now, with $1000's invested. When they no longer give me a thrill, I will uninstall.
  18. What is a good, downloadable, benchmark program?
  19. It has to be hard having access to such an astounding program that offers so much, and with the NDA, no one can post their exceptional pictures and videos. I offer a thanks to those who abide by the NDA, and at the same time, offer to MSFS images and videos that portray their program in such enlightening ways when they share them with us.
  20. I am curious. Is MeteoBlue for forecasting, or is it for current weather in-game loading? (I have visited the website)
  21. Yes, more people got in. Be patient for the email. Also, seems they were burning the midnight oil on this one. May be later today before they get to everyone. Enjoy!
  22. Do you think MSFS 2020 will simulate low Earth orbit (i.e.: SpaceX vehicles to ISS, or the like)? They already said they rendered the Sun more accurately for seasonal sky placement, time of day, the stars in space... Did they say the planets will be visible?
  23. The clouds are amazing. My question, will there be a "haze" layer? You know... when flying closer to the ground, the haze / moisture / humidity in the air that minimizes the view distance; if there is a several-hundred-mile view distance in the upper atmosphere, will there be a minimized view distance with humidity, not relative to fog? So when we use Real Weather through their partner(s), and visibility is only 10 miles, then haze after that (until in the upper atmosphere), will that be rendered?
