I had big problems with FSXSE in win10 upgrade to 11 no probs with sim but a lot of supporting software running my cockpit wont work. A tip my sim PC has no security installed, helps increase FR, its on the net so I can run steam I do not look at or click anything so no chance of anything unwelcome infecting it. I do all my browsing and downloading on a old slow PC with loads of security installed, never have any issues doing it this way. Howard

This sounds to me like you have reach the limited number of allowed scenery areas, at this point FS will start deleting areas out of the the scenery.cfg file. just adding it back into the scenery library will result in FS just deleting something else so the way forward is to look at what scenery's you can combine into one scenery/texture folder Howard The Natural World Scenery biggles-tnw@outlook.com

I'm seriously looking at your your pc spec, if it was a BMP issue then the clouds would be different, try installing Advanced System Care Free and using a free game booster. Now is not a good time to upgrade as there is a world wide shortage of computer parts with many been unavailable for a long time now, gamer's are paying silly money for quite low spec parts. This could be one of many things do you have any cloud enhancements installed, does it only happen with certain weather themes, is it the same in cockpit or spot view, are you running X or Steam ? Howard The Natural World Scenery

I have the answer you are looking for it's called "G Disk" which will clear all data for from your hard drive including Microsoft's hidden folder which formatting wont get rid of, it contains all the validation info of all MS software legal and other wise. If you have the same hardware configuration then validating win 10 should not be a problem, the G Disk program was a MS developed program, but is hard to come by now as MS removed all copy from the net, there is a very easy and simple work around, you will need to email me as MS would not be to happy about it Howard Mail : biggles-tnw@outlook.com

Hi I cant speak for MSFS but it seems to be covered by earlier reply's, I have installed P3D v5 after Microsoft started trashing FSXSE before its release of MSFS, Very Very disappointed with V5 the 3D trees all look the same colour like they have high visibility vest on, ground textures are mainly default FSX a lot of my FSX addons have big problems. Did manage to sort out the trees and textures using the same format as my Natural World Scenery for FS2004 and released just before Christmas I found that Lockheed Martin had done a lot of work improving the landclass looked good by the end, but been mainly a GA person it just did not work for me so reinstalled my old Steam Edition to see if I could sort it out Microsoft had restored the awful things they had done, I decided to carry with what I had started and that is still work in progress it not only looks brilliant but has kept me sane over COViD and due for release late summer, Microsoft's 3D trees look good tho a lower resolution than v5 but the only time you'd notice it is if you go for a walk in the woods. Both v5 and FSXSE need a fairly high spec PC my sim of chose is Steam and well worth the low price they charge and does not suffer comparability issues like FSX, as with P3D it will only allow you to install on one PC if I can help further then ask. Hi there are a lot of different versions of the GTX1050ti with a great variation in performance and the sockets on the back panel, I world say yes you can do what you ask. for the stretch 24" monitors (best with 2 identical monitors) first connect them to the HDMI and the Display ports and the smaller one to the AVG port if not you will need to use the DVI using a adapter it you haven't got the cable to do it. Hi I think I can help I am working on a copy of The Natural World graphics upgrade for FSXSE and hopefully tweak it to work in FSX I re-branded Howards Mix for FX9 to The Natural World the latest been TNW2019 freeware, I also Have a copy in the Store here for P3D v5. I have not got a due date as yet suggest staying in tough for the latest infor by email until I get my web site sorted and an new Facebook account put out, I could possibly send some early release textures when I have some ready. Firstly FSXSE is one of the top sims and beats P3D v5 by a long shot, I uninstalled P3D v5, as it didn't even have a starting point for me as I like good scenery I've always liked Photo scenery and found that the more you have the slower the PC runs the best work around going back to FS9 days was never take a HDD over haft full and un-tick a few in the scenery library until needed. The plus side of a having scenery on a second drive is on a windows reinstall you do not need to reinstall all the scenery's providing you have got a up to date copy of your scenery.cfg file backup, if windows assigns a different drive letter that's easy to change (win7) by right clicking my computer/Manage/Disk Management, (win10) can be accessed through the Control Panel/Device Manager I think. Cant help but can I be so bold as to make a suggestion: I personally would find it very interesting to do the research work and putting my own style and thoughts onto it you'll end up knowing a lot of other simmers from around the world hopefully, as I did when I posted my first scenery "Howards Mix" for FS9 now re branded to The Natural World and now copies for P3D and working on FSX and FSXSE. That will work on a single wide screen but not across multi monitors and I said at the beginning that I was presuming he had 3 monitor in stretch mode, which he has not clarified as yet, if he has then those settings you use will not go anywhere far enough to correct the panel or POV but the WideViewaspect remains until altered back. Those setting you suggest still work with 3 monitors stretched, I used them for a long time on my yoke for a long time along with buttons to switch easily between Lock spot and VC all my other switching are set into my full working cockpit. yes there is, I presume you are using multi monitors there is a switch in the .cfg: WideViewaspect= listed under [DISPLAY] change from False to True. In v4 it may have a listings in the settings, you may still need to tweak the eye point a little. I did not start the differences between colour depth but just trying clarify a point from a earlier post, I am dyslexic and have attention deficit disorder among other things and find it difficult to retain information, at my age my conditions were not heard of I have suffered a lot of abuse even by my teachers at school to get to where I am with the qualification I have all paid for by me as I could not fill out any application forms in those days, my disabilities have never stopped my trying to genuinely help and there are probably many who appropriated having the having the difference between 64/32 bit hard explained in layman terms the subject of my first post, with regard to the FS9.exe if it works why knock it. FS9 is a 32bit program its the bmp's which are mainly 16bit with with still quite a few old 8bit textures in there, I have done a lot of support work over many years, win10 has been the only version to cause real problems for some FS9 users who can not use it on on there new PC's, I think its more a windows problem than a FS9 issue I know the reason why but not going there in this post. I have just built a win10, i7 out of my old gaming computer and some old bit saved out of computers I have upgrades or renewed for simmers in my area its very slow for a i7 but good enough for my software test machine P3Dv5 FSXSE FSX and FS9 I am developing software for them all. while its true most copies of FS9 will install and work fine sadly not all including mine until changed the exe file and works fine now. I 'm not a windows tech wizard more on the electronics side of thing and would like to put a little more understanding into this 32/64 bit issue which crops up from time to time. As i'm sure we all know a computer works with only 2 states on/off, to view this on a oscilloscope it looks like castle battlements, the way a transistor connection works it switches on the falling voltage hence press the mouse key and nothing happen until you release it, a 32 bit system sends 32 bits of data on ever cycle whether it be a 16 or an early 8bit sending only 8bit that has been a fact since the first computer. The advances in micro circuits PC's switch not only on the falling voltage but on the rising voltage also, hence 64 bits sent per cycle, given that most simmers systems were struggling to cope with 32 bits per cycle know one saw any benefits in the early days. So 32/64 bit is a hard ware and not a software upgrade although I will concede the software has been updated again and again. Microsoft have never really considered compatibility with older programs as a priority much to the annoyance of FS9 users.
