  1. I use my mouse for Freelook ever since MSFS 2.0 and my POV hat on the joystick to trim elevator and aileron. I had to use the generic default mouse in MSFS Controls, however, because the game did not seem to like my Logitech G300s mouse (yet.) I'll look around for game drivers for the mouse but the default mouse works fine. It took some fiddling to get it working but it's okay now. So is the POV switch. My slider throttle on my Logitech Wingman Extreme is not working very well but it might just need some tweaking. I had to reduce sensitivity of the joystick in the X and Y axes as well. Hope you get your POV working for Freelook.
  2. Hi Jon, I had a similar problem at first when I got my new MSFS and wanted to take a long flight. I use my mouse to look around or to trigger things on screen either in menus or in the cockpit. I couldn't get it working until I looked in the Control menu and saw that my own mouse seemed to be one of the choices but it didn't seem to register the controls I was trying to attach to it. So I switched to the Default Mouse in the menu and Voila! It worked. Maybe this could have been the same for you. Good luck in getting it working. Neill
  3. Hi Vern, Thanks for sharing your experience with the new MSFS. I got mine as soon as it came out August 18th and I also bought the Cessna 182T because my nephew took delivery of a real one the same week! So I was eager to replicate his flight with his son, who just completed his PPL himself, from Edmonton, Alberta, to Victoria, B.C. in Canada. I forgot to check the fuel level on take off and only realized later that it was at 50% so I switched the settings to "no fuel consumption" just to complete the flight because I was getting too low on gas, too. Maybe Microsoft will tweak this in an upcoming patch if they bother reading our posts! The Rockies are beautifully captured in the new MSFS. I must try the Nile trip you took. Happy landings. Neill in Montreal, Quebec
