Hi Flying in Sweden and trying to catch the VOR next to the airport of Västerås. Frequency 112.80 code ARS. For some reason this particular VOR seams to have a very small range, some 40-50 km max, which I find very weird. Do someone know how to fiddle in the VORs in the depth of the sim? thanks a lot

Hello would someone know what the carb heat is call in the sim? I'd like to have a switch to toggle the carb heat on and off. Cant find it in the list of actions. Do you happen to know? Thanks

Hi I used to be able to left-click and "move" around the globe in the flight planning section of MSFS. Now the left-clicking doesnt do anything. Instead I have to use the arrows to position my start and my arrival. Do you know what settings that is? thanks

I am using the Piper Arrow 2 from Just Flight. This always happens at the most critical phase... landing. So annoying.

Hi While flying I sometimes get an avatar to appear at the pilot seat and completely block the way to see the inside of the cockpit. Only way to finalise the flight is to fly from outside of the plane. I have no idea why this guy takes my seat and it is very annoying as I cant make it leave the place. Any idea what I could do?

Hi after the motherboard of my PC died, and its replacement, MSFS has quit working. So I did uninstall it but now I am not able to reinstall it. I bought it on MS Marketplace, but cant find how to do a new installation. What am I missing? thanks for some help!

Hi I installed yesterday the latest upgrade that changed quite a bit of everything in my sim. One thing that I find annoying is that blueish marking of the knobs and other buttons when having the mouse over. How can I remove that? Thanks

well, I really wonder on what basis most of you are judging how the aircraft fly in MSFS (or in the other sims). It all looks great, neat and tidy. But it is what it is, a sim. I am currently getting my PPL rating and honestly... the sim is worthless. Of course you will learn where the nobs are, get to know the aircraft and manipulate stuff. But more than this? completely worthless. I can land a Cessna in the dark with 60 knots of wind and gusts all around in the sim. But real landing is a totally different story. The whole flying experience in the real world is something else. My point here is that there is no real point in complaining on how "real" the planes are in the sim. They are not. Period.

Hi tried the challenge in the Alps, 15 FPS :-( actually the number of FPS does not change if I am in high or in ultra. That's weird. The GPU is the bottleneck but I cant see why. I have benchmarked my computer and it is doing more than just fine.

Thanks, really annoying though. I dont understand why the sim on just my computer has slowed down! Would it help to do a fresh install?

Removed all add-ons OC on the GPU Reduced all graphic settings to high not freezing, but 15 FPS over Paris. I had 30-50 FPS in Ultra before. time to upgrade a PC bought 6 months ago... Have you seen so dramatic FPS drops since the last update?

and I dont mean because of the weather. Since the last update, the sim freezes every 3-4 minutes. the sound is still there, but the graphics freezes. It has basically become impossible to use... My set-up is Intel Core I9, 32 Gig RAM, Nvidia 2080 Ti, both CPU and GPU overclocked. Really frustrating... Anyone with freezing graphics? and ideas on what to do are welcome! thanks

Hi! first let me state that I am by no means in relation to that company, I purchased the FS Academy IFR school a couple of week ago and would like to give you my impressions. You'll find the add-on here https://www.fsacademy.co.uk/ifr So, first what do you get? After downloading the package you will have 12 missions that appears in the Bush Trips. Those missions, or lessons as they are, will guide you through all the steps to perform the IFR flight. In order, you get BASIC IFR PARTIAL PANEL VOR/NDB TRACKING - ANALOG VOR/NDB TRACKING - GLASS COCKPIT HOLDING PATTERNS VOR APPROACH APPROACH ILS APPROACH DEPARTURES ENROUTE NAVIGATION CIRCLING IR CHECKRIDE For your help you get one training manual, with explanations, charts, pictures that you have to study before the lesson. During the lesson you get your own private instructor explaining what to do and when to do it. All lessons are 10-15 minutes long, but you may need to take them 3-4 times to really get a grip of what is going on. The concept is very interesting and much better than the short training to fly VFR. No need to say that a prerequisite to this add-on is that you must know how to fly VFR, how to handle your aircraft, trim it, fly level, bank etc. With that knowledge behind you and if you want to finally understand how to fly IFR and navigate, this is in my mind a so much better tool than all those videos on Youtube. The package will cost 25 Euros, honestly I think it is worth every cent in it. The training is really effective and the feeling of being taught by someone who knows is just great. So much better than this overly exited American woman in the MSFS training. There are some few minus points to consider. The timing of the actions is a bit approximate, I guess this is depending on how the package is designed, and sometimes, the CFI will just disappear since you are lost. It would be so great if that could be corrected, giving even more realism to the training. The other thing I miss is trainings, other locations to train on the things that I have just learnt. All in all, if you are looking for improving your sim skills, buy that add-on, you will definitely not regret it and look differently at you simulator, understanding how amazing it is.
