  1. What I would like to see in MSFS is a list of all add-on airports (purchased or free) that are installed. Sometimes it's fun to just go and select one of the more detailed airports (small or big) and go for a flight -- but trying to remember all that I have installed... well lets just say I'm not getting any younger ;)
  2. Performance differences between brands of RTX 2070 Super will be minimal at best. That said, if you aren't in a super rush (pun slightly intended...), I suggest waiting for the release of the RTX 3060 & 3070 models from Nvidia in October. They should have tangible performance improvements across the board and pricing is expected to be decent. Though if they are anything like the RTX 3080 & 3090 --- initial stocks will sell out FAST!
  3. ^^^ THIS! ^^^ I was flying the King Air 350 Saturday on a short hop from Santa Barbara over to Los Angeles when I got the sudden urge to go make myself a quick coffee (sadly no flight attendant service on this trip). My plan was to manual fly the route being that it's so short n'all... But figured I'd go ahead, set my relative heading to LA, kick on the Auto pilot, and select the altitude hold @ 13000ft. (yes, lucky #13... in hindsight probably not the wisest of decisions). Anyhow... So I got the AP configured and confirmed the altitude and track were holding as expected and headed off to the kitchen for that much needed coffee. Well no sooner am I out in the kitchen poring the hot water when I hear a faint autopilot disconnect sound off in the distance... Of course at that point I was in denial thinking "that surely couldn't have been MY autopilot?" --As if there was any other autopilot operating in the vicinity of my home-- So I wandered back to the captain's seat with delicious coffee in hand only to find that my beautiful King Air 350 was now resting in the middle of Ventura Harbor! :( Moral of this story... DO NOT TRUST THE AUTOPILOT !!! .... And for god's sake, stop being so cheap & just hire a darn flight attendant! ;););)
  4. The problem with Premium content not showing up in-game has been resolved. Make sure you re-launch MSFS for the changes to take effect.
  5. There's an ongoing problem with "Premium Deluxe" content not showing up in MSFS right now. Lot's of people are having this problem cross platform (DVD, MS Store, & Steam versions). Hang tight, I'm sure Microsoft & Asobo will get it sorted.... eventually...
  6. Download CPU-Z and verify your RAM speed. 1600Mhz DDR = 3200Mhz
  7. I'll 2nd that! Hopefully it won't be too long of a wait :pilot:
  8. I Had the exact same problem yesterday! Took the opportunity to not only fully reinstall FS2020 but also performed a complete fresh install of Win10 2004. Since yesterday I have reinstalled FS2020 twice (deleting game files in-between).... why? because the download isn't including the files for "Premium Deluxe" which I paid for. Marketplace shows that Premium Deluxe is owned & installed but when I check the content manager, some of the add-ons aren't showing a version number, subsequently they don't appear to be installed because my hangar is only showing the 20 Standard Edition aircraft. Needless to say it's been quite frustrating...
  9. Nothing a hacksaw, blowtorch, & 12 burly dudes couldn't fix :pilot:
  10. Lol. yup, that's exactly what I did... D:\MSFS  I also moved my rolling cache and put it in the main MSFS folder - called it "Rolling_Cache"
  11. FYI, Nvidia just released a video on YouTube discussing the development/design of gfx cards and in a couple of spots they briefly showed glimpses (teases) of the new design and the new 12-pin power connector that will be on the reference cards. Everything we've heard & seen in recent leaks looks to be 100% spot on! Also, VideoCardz.com has confirmed the RTX3090 will have 24GB VRAM & the RTX3080 will come with 10GB VRAM (Both having GDDR6X).
  12. I would hold off on purchasing a video card right now as the launch of Nvidia's next gen 30XX series is imminent with AMD's new cards launching sometime afterword. You might be able to find the odd deal on a new or used 20XX card - but if it's raw performance you're after - I suggest waiting to see what the new generation cards will be bringing to the table. Nvidia should be announcing their new lineup in about a week.
  13. Quite Good overall, though I think the CN Tower could use a little cleaning up - considering it's an iconic landmark. I even managed to find my condo building in North Scarborough - though for some strange reason both it and its sister building are modeled too short, yet the apartment next to me is modeled to the correct height and pretty much has the exact correct colour & textures.
  14. I took an early morning (6am) hop from Toronto Island (CYTZ) over to Trenton Ont. (CYTR) in the King Air 350 today... It was an awesome short flight! Didn't hurt that I buttered the landing too  Real world weather & that gorgeous sunrise... Just WoW!
  15. I haven't timed it but I'd say it takes around 15-20 seconds before it hits the first spashscreen on my PC. I have my FS instillation on a 2TB NVMe drive dedicated for apps & games with the main OS being on a 1TB NVMe.
