  1. Glad I have had the opportunity to see our equipment come up to the glass versions. No more round gauges in our C208s....except for backups. Now we are getting the Cessna 408 Skycourier online with the latest gen of G1000 panels. Sweet!
  2. By the seat of your pants flying...literally. Only pilotage and dead reckoning back in those days. GREAT pics!
  3. I finally came back for a classic Sir Peerhoven water landing?? Oops, my mistake :P Awesome job Sir Peerhoven!
  4. I thoroughly enjoy challenges like Courchevel, Lukla, Paro, etc. Awesome pics!
  5. Love the Pitts! I flew the S2B in aerobatic competitions in the early 90's. A friend of mine owned one painted in red, white and blue. Awesome airplane to fly but takes ALL of your attention on takeoff and landing. Took me a few hours to land the airplane correctly after the side slip approaches. Landing from the rear seat of the S2B isn't really that difficult...it's after the landing with very little forward visibility that matters.
  6. Ahhh! Never have seen warbirds around ACK but it's ok. Haha! Yet, I have seen thousands of black seals on the outer banks of ACK hoping no Great White Sharks are waiting for their return to the sea :oP
  7. VERY good job sir. I thought you were going to do a perfect turn about a point with the Diamond :0P No matter...you captured the essence of the subject quite well. I salute you
  8. If you have anything related to Nantucket (ACK), I've been there as well...too many times over the years of aviation :)
  9. Good enough for sim flying and overall good job for the C208 EX. The EX is slicker on slowing down than the C208B. It was eye opening for me when I flew the EX....especially on final. I had to do an embarrassing go-around. But, it was my first flight in the EX and I was still considering the older C208B with the prop that acts likes a speed brake. I was resistant to pulling the power back to idle. At any rate, 120 approach speed with full flaps worked great...just as the C208B. Depending on wind conditions, the nose of the aircraft during flair can change, but not much. The eye point in the sim is higher than the actual pilot eye point in real life.
  10. Really good depiction of MVY during the off peak summer season. Having been to MVY for a number of years during the off peak season, I can attest to the lack of aircraft there, but the scenery didn't quite capture the southeast side of the ramp and beyond. At least from my perspective of viewing it. I have flown in a C208 for years to MVY from PVD and I am quite impressed with the MSFS scenery depiction...no matter what is missing in the sim. Good job of showing MVY, sir!
  11. Adam has a good point. No one will notice a flying barrel in NYC. It's too noisy after all...even for a radial engine. Awesome pics though! Keep up the great work :)
  12. I'm surprised someone didn't say, "AWESOME non pic" :oP Whatever it was suppose to be, I'm sure it was great :)
  13. Seriously, Bob, you should not let the students from Peerhoven's 'slightly less than than legal' sea plane school infiltrate your stellar operation :P
  14. Heaven opened up and Adam's screenshots fell through. Once again you never disappoint, sir
  15. From what I have learned over time is that ALL of Sir Peerhoven's airplanes have met a watery landing. He's trying to be perfect at least :) All kidding aside, outstanding pics SIR!
  16. Looks like Sir Peerhoven flew a fire bomber full of excrement over that innocent 150...not nice! Haha
  17. The clarity of MSFS never ceases to amaze me... as I lurk in the background from time to time. These pics serve as a reminder to me to build a new system and get busy with the new sim! Astounding stuff
  18. WOW, love the MSFS shots of the Goshawk...real beauties, Adam!
  19. Top of descent: Desired altitude to attain on descent, Ex: If at FL300 and descending to 10,000: 30,000-10,000 = 20,000. 20 x 3 = 60NM. Then you figure the rate of descent to achieve the desired altitude within 60NM. Multiply your ground speed by 6 to get that answer
  20. These ultra realistic screen shots make me sick... all because I have neither the flight sim or ultra HD, LOL. Outstanding captures, sir. You should be proud!
  21. Miss flying in the north country of Wi. The pics are fabulous! RHI, CWA, ATW, and MSN were frequents of mine over the years. Didn't much like the winter flying up there but always managed successful outcomes :)
