  1. That airport screen shot is is Barrow Alaska PABR, way up north. I am aware that of course there are airport buildings being made for MSFS and posted here, but it will take a bit of time to catch up with FS9.
  2. Well, there is definitely one aspect of FS9 that now outshines even MSFS. There are more airports and airfields with buildings that are realistic replicas of real life than in any other flight sim. It took a few years to get to this situation of course, and I would like to see the same thing happen with MSFS, but at my age I am not optimistic!
  3. Yep, I had indeed selected wrongly without noticing. Thanks.
  4. When I click on the FS2004 scenery downloads I now get overlapping outlines of various scenery packets, and not the neat and tidy pages of a month ago.
  5. I stayed with Windows 7 for FS2004 after the disasters of Windows 8 and then Windows 8.1. No disasters now.
  6. Hmmm, and who were you talking to? I have most of the groundwork done there, and pics to be able to make most of the buildings at Whitehorse to a reasonable standard, but right now I don't have the time.
  7. Here I am. Norton Sound is not frozen, that is correct. And after all this time I do not remember which texture FS9 was using to show as ice, and in fact I don't think I ever did know. If you have modified the FS9 textures for winter then it seems you will have a problem finding out which one. I found out how to do this icy water from Holger Sandmann, who made the Alaska glacier area sceneries, one of which was called Glacier Bay, another was Misty Fjords. If you can find him somewhere then try asking him. I probably no longer have his email but I will see if I can find it. If I do I will post it here.
  8. Well this time my Quesnel scenery was not as amazing as it is supposed to be. Basically, in as few words as possible, it didn't work! I am uploading a replacement version which should be available tomorrow. Thanks to Graeme and Mike for letting me know. And apologies to everyone who downloaded.
  9. Camil said not right now. Maybe later on.
  10. I took my own advice and asked him by email.
  11. I would probably make some use of them too, though I could wish someone thought of this idea years ago. But, as suggested, why not just ask him? Then we know where we stand. Or as I am this moment, sit.
  12. I make scenery for Canada in FS9 and don't use airliners, but I am greatly impressed by your quality and your quantity!
  13. Missing Learjet texture has been uploaded to flightsim. Thank you Jim for pointing it out.
  14. I posted phase one of Fort St John CYXJ today.
  15. Well I am now sitting on a small mountain in Asia so nothing can be ruled out, but to tell the truth (or something close to it anyway) starting more scenery in a new area is unlikely to get off the ground (Haha!). And I have never been to Windsor, except the one in England that is constantly on television right now. I was going to write that I have never been to Quesnel either, but I have a very vague memory that maybe I was there; however, I have no pics or video so......
  16. I am sure that you must have been told many times before, but your planes really are great!
  17. I can't remember who created the SceneGenX software for airport creation but he deserves a mention here. Tom Who? He made my FS9 life much easier with that programme.
  18. Oh, I looked at the early pages of "remembering pioneers" and agreed about those named but hadn't got as far as my name. The early guys were really putting in an effort with the software available. I just happened to get into it as the easy-to-use SceneGenX became available. That was made by Tom Who? I don't remember and he deserves a mention.
  19. My enthusiasm for making more scenery for FS9 seems to have faded away, but I will probably be making one more. Fort St John CYXJ is in northern BC, Canada, close to the border with Alberta. I am writing this here in the forum so that I will then (hopefully?) actually finish it in October instead of just wishing that I had finished it while doing sweet nothing.
  20. SceneGenX is a good one to go with. I used it for 15 years and 600 or so airfields and float bases and it does a lot without becoming too complicated.
