Rupert Posted January 26, 2023 Share Posted January 26, 2023 Yes I agree, this is a wonderful series of shots. It's amazing the detail we're starting to almost take for granted. The snow in that last shot is certainly seasonal. But I wonder, do they also provide a sim of the de-ice zones? DTW in winter was the source of some of my worst job related nightmares. I finally decided it was easier to drive to wintertime meetings in Detroit and and the surrounding cities than to fly and risk hours in the de-ice stations. Time wise, in good weather when you took the time to check in and go through security plus renting a car, flying was a little faster and worth it. But during this time of the year when given the choice, I' chose to drive rather than fly. Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
